This trip brings your attention to the ancient Kamru Fort and temples deeply dedicated to Nages God and adds another peaceful walk through full greenery around Sangla. You will get the chance to indulge yourself into spirituality by exploring the spiritual places. Get a sight of the religious Kailash peaks - a home to Lord Shiva. Not only will you get to enjoy the road journey through highest Passes like Kunzum Pass at 15,100 ft but also experience your first ever visit to a historical natural preserved mummy. From exploring Ki Gompa and scenic Chandratal Lake to crossing the most interesting Atal tunnel on the way will add nothing less than a charm to your travel journey.
Itinerary
9 Days / 8 Nights
Chandigarh – Narkanda (5-6 hrs)
- On your arrival at the Chandigarh airport , our agent will pick you up.
- Later proceeding to Narkanda which is beautifully located in between the thick woods.
- On the way, enjoy the majestic view of Hatu Peak.
- In the evening enjoy your free leisure time.
- Spent night in Narkanda.
Narkanda – Sarahan – Sangla (6-7 hrs)
- After breakfast , leave for Sangla by visiting Hatu Mata temple at Narkanda.
- Later , make your visit to the beautiful village of Sarahan situated above the river Sutlej.
- Witness the majestic architecture of hills and its natural beauty and explore small villages in Sarahan.
- After your lunch, make a visit to BhimaKali temple which is one of the fifty-one shakti peeth and it is deeply driven to Hindu culture.
- Then, leave for the beautiful Sangla and enjoy the natural scenery all around covered in snow. The view is amazing.
- Get to know about Sangla that it is also known as Baspa Valley since the Baspa river flows through this Valley.
- Overnight stay in Sangla.
Sangla – Chitkul – Sangla
- After breakfast,In Sangla, explore the ancient Kamru Fort and visit a Temple dedicated to Naged God.
- Later, visit Chitkul (which is the last village on the old Indo-Tibetian Trade route) and go for a walk through its greenery around.
- Also enjoy the peace and beauty all around in Sangla.
- Overnight stay in Sangla.
Sangla– Kalpa (2 hrs) – Nako (3 hrs)
- After your breakfast , leave for Nako and also visit Kalpa to get the view of kinner Kailash peaks. Kailash Peak is known as the home of Lord Shiva.
- Later in the day , visit to the Buddhist Gompa , Hu Bu Lan Kar and pay respects at Narayan Nagini temple.
- Then , drive to Nako, a heritage Village which is one of the most beautiful points in Kinnaur.
- Explore Nako , built around a small Lake with small temples.
- Overnight stay in Nako.
Nako – Tabo – Kaza (6-7 hrs)
- After breakfast, on the route , visit a tiny village Gue near the Indian - Tibet border to watch the naturally preserved mummy who is believed to be 500-600 years old and the special thing about it is that it was found sitting in a meditative position inside a glass case.
- Later , leave for Tabo which is one of the most important Gompas in the whole Tibetan Buddhist world.
- Also explore the modern Gompa and painting school founded by the Dalai Lama in Tabo.
- Overnight stay in Kaza.
Kaza
- After breakfast, leave for kaza.
- On the way, visit Langza and Hikkim village, known for the highest post office in the world.
- By late noon, come back to kaza.
- In the evening, enjoy your free leisure time and chill.
- Overnight stay in kaza.
Kaza – Chandratal Lake (6-7 hrs)
- After breakfast in the morning, leave for Chandratal Lake.
- On the route, make a visit to the ancient monastery “Ki Gompa” built on what is believed to be the crater of an extinct volcano.
- Enjoy the peaceful Ki Gompa situated above the village and is best in the region.
- Also visit kibber village and the famous Chicham Bridge.
- Then leave for Chandratal Lake by crossing the amazing Kunzum Pass (15,100 ft).
- On the way, reach Baltal and have a magnificent view of the mountain ranges peaks.
- Take your full day leisure time enjoying the beauty of the beautiful lake and natural snow peaks surrounding.
- Overnight stay at Chandratal Lake.
Chandratal – Manali (6-7 hrs)
- After your breakfast, leave for Manali.
- On the way, enjoy a view of Chandra river by crossing along the amazing Atal tunnel.
- By afternoon, reach Manali.
- Enjoy your free leisure time in the evening and chill.
- Overnight stay in Manali.
Manali – Chandigarh (6-7 hrs)
- In the morning after breakfast, leave for Chandigarh which is a drive of 6 to 7 hours.
- Reach to either Chandigarh airport or railway station and go back to your home.
- The journey ends here with great memories.
