This 9N/10D trip, unlike the much more popular Ladakh, offers the natural, untouched beauty of the Himalayas, and explore some ancient rock monasteries like Tabo, experience remote villages and homestays, and cross some challenging high-altitude passes like Kunzum. This is a less commercial, spiritual and adventurous trip, perfect for those looking for solitude and deep cultural immersion amid spectacular and extremely cold desert scenery and clear starry nights.

Day 1
Srinagar – Sonamarg (3 hours)
Day 1
- After reaching Srinagar airport, depart for Sonamarg. 3 hours drive is involved. Evening rest and free time for recreation.
- Overnight stay at Sonamarg and relax.

Sonamarg – Drass – Kargil (6 – 7 hours)
Day 2
- Morning depart for Kargil, halt at Zojila pass at 11,575 ft high altitude, visit Drass village (considered the second coldest inhabited place in the world), War Memorial Hall and Museum, and reach Kargil. Evening visit Hundurman (border village),
- Stay at Kargil and have a bath.

Kargil - Lamayuru - Sham Valley (5 - 6 Hours)
Day 3
- After breakfast, leave for Leh, visit Mulbekh, a huge Buddha statue on a rock mountain, Lamayuru, one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh and enjoy the moonlit view all around you as you reach Lamayuru Monastery.
- Overnight stay in Sham Valley and rest.

Sham Valley - Leh (3 - 4 Hours)
Day 4
- After breakfast, visit Alchi Gompa, Sangam (confluence of Zanskar and Indus River), Patthar Sahib Gurudwara and Magnetic Hill and reach Leh. In the evening, visit the Hall of Fame Museum.
- Overnight stay in Leh.

Leh – Nubra Valley (5-6 hours)
Day 5
- After a good breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass (world’s second highest motorable road at 18,380 ft). You can also take short breaks for photography at roadside cafes and sightseeing spots. Enjoy adventure activities like ATV bike ride / go-karting / rafting on the way. Arrive at your reserved hotel or camp. After lunch, leave for the sand dunes and enjoy camel safari (two humped camels found only in Ladakh and Mongolia) in the sand dunes.
- Overnight stay in Nubra Valley and relax.

Nubra – Pangong Lake via Shyok River Route (6-7 hours)
Day 6
- After breakfast, leave for Pangong, visit Big Buddha at Diskit Village on the way, then leave for 14,500 ft high Pangong Lake which can take 6-7 hours drive. After reaching camp, spend free time in the evening and enjoy the changing color of the lake.
- Overnight stay at Pangong Lake and relax.

Pangong Lake – Hanle via Tsaga La (7-8 hours)
Day 7
- After a hearty breakfast, take a scenic drive to Hanle, cross Chushul Village en route and stop at Rezangla War Memorial dedicated to Param Vir Chakra Major Shaitan Singh, then cross Tsaga La (15,200 ft), reach Loma Bend, drive towards Hanle, home to one of the highest and largest observatories in the world.
- Enjoy a stay with the locals in a local guest house or homestay.
- Relax overnight at Hanle.

Hanle – Umlingla – Hanle – Leh via Chumathang (7-8 hours)
Day 8
- After breakfast, drive to Umlingla Pass, the highest motorable road in the world. Then, return back to Hanle, after lunch, leave for Leh via Loma Bend, Mahay, stop at Chumathang hot springs. Reach Leh by evening.
- Relax in the evening free of cost.
- Refresh yourself with an overnight stay at Leh.

Leh - City Tour

- After breakfast, leave for a half day tour of Leh city with a visit to Thikse Gompa, Shanti Stupa, Indus Valley.
